One of the highlights of the first day is exploring the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous ksars.
This ancient fortified village is known for its traditional mud-brick architecture and fascinating history. Ait Ben Haddou has served as the filming location for many famous movies and television series, including Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Game of Thrones.
Walking through its narrow alleys and climbing to the top of the kasbah provides stunning panoramic views over the surrounding desert landscape.
After lunch near Ait Ben Haddou, we continue toward Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.”
This fascinating desert city is home to famous film studios, historical kasbahs, and beautiful desert scenery. Ouarzazate is also considered the gateway to the Sahara Desert and southern Morocco.
